Find Session

Last updated

Use the Blueprint example below to implement Find Session. You can also use the assembled Find Session implementation in the example project's lobby.

Variables and callbacks

TitleDetails
PasswordThis is if you want a server created with this password or are looking for a server with a password.
Map NameThis will be the map name you're searching for.
Game ModeThis will be the mode you're searching for.
Game RegionThis will be the region you're searching for. We also have a node called "NLPGetRegions" to get a list of regions. Usually, you add this to a dropdown, and when a user selects it, you return the result and plug it into GameRegion. We do this inside the Example Lobby if you want to take a look at that. We automatically get the regions available, meaning you have server managers in those regions, which will show in that list.
Game TypeThis is your Type, aka genre. It can be an FPS, Third Person, or Battle Royale. It will be publicly viewed. We added this in case someone wants to create a mix-match game with Zombies, Multiplayer, and other things to split it up.
CustomThis will return the data to the server
Matchmaking CustomThis variable will be called once a user has connected to the server. So, say you have a party of users and want to reconnect them on a server level.
Success CallbackThe callback function is called after a successful Find Session.
Error CallbackThe callback function called after the request resulted in an error.
Message Update CallbackThe callback function is called after the request has been updated with data.
